Marrabenta Star de Mozambique, was one of the best known bands in the country, due to its favor with the ruling party and Radio Mocambique. The band recorded in Zimbabwe, laying down many dance tracks in the Marrabenta style, but between sessions Wazimbo picked up a guitar and started to sing. The tapes were still running, but no one realized the song had even been captured until the mixing sessions in London. That was very lucky for us, and for everyone else who has ever been stopped in their tracks by the sheer beauty of this song, which likens a women to a night bird that flies after dark from bar to bar.
