Music that is rather hard to file under a particular style. Acoustic? Avant garde? Folk? Modern classical music? Contemporary music? Alternative classical rock? It has it all! This CD needs more than one listening session. It’s like seeds coming out. Dorzée makes her violin sound warm and sometimes pleasantly rough. Tom Theuns experiments on Festina Lente even more audacious than on the latest album of Ambrozijn, which only fortifies the avant garde feel of some songs. Sparkles fly through the air when he plays his acoustic guitar, banjo and mandolin. The talented percussionist Stephan Pougin adds his fine grooves, ingenuity and sense of humour on top of it all. Aurélie Dorzée – violin, kazoo, alto Tom Theuns – voice, acoustic guitar, harmonium, mandolin, banjo Stephan Pougin – percussion, vibraphone.
